We are officially making massive progress at our newest home flip renovation project right here in Salem! This week, the house is in total transformation mode. We are ripping out all of the old, mismatched laminate floors and worn-out carpets to make room for a stunning new continuous look. Plus, our roofing materials just arrived on site, and we have a bold new black-and-white color palette planned for the exterior. We are replacing all the floors in this house and the new floors are being delivered today. Stay tuned to see what we went with, but for now, I am going to rip all this up. This is laminate floor. Look at this shoe molding—it had gotten wet and it just turned into cardboard.
Conveniently, the roofing materials have arrived. Okay, here is all the roofing material right here as you can see, front yard on site. It is going up there in less than twenty-four hours. So these are black shingles, as you can see. We will have white gutters. These windows will be replaced—they will have white frames. All this will be painted white as well, but the shutters will be repainted black. What do we think of that exterior color combination?
All the floors are up, all the carpets are up. The new floor did get delivered, let’s check it out. Here it is in better light. It is an oak color. Take a look at all this old flooring and old carpet that was ripped up. It felt great to get out and actually do something physically today. We got so many projects going on, I have been pitching in a little bit in the field. It is something I don’t often do.
